Nahant Basement Transformation

In this Nahant basement transformation we converted an unfinished space to an art studio. The owner wanted a rustic space with easy-to-maintain surfaces and plenty of natural light. The answer was to significantly increase the window area in the foundation wall and whitewash the dark ceiling. To be certain that the basement remains dry year round, we installed a perimeter drain system and sump as our first step. Then, it was time to cut new openings in the foundation to accommodate the new Anderson windows, frame out, insulate, drywall the room and install new laminate flooring. Voila! a bright and beautiful new art studio
